For the international visitors I would like to introduce myself in English. My name is Mars Gremmen (Mars is not a typical Dutch name; it's just an affected abbreviation of Marcel), I'm a comic strip artist from the Netherlands, born in 1969, and I work, among other things, for several Dutch magazines. On my website you'll find loads of drawings, paintings and photographs that I've made over the last ten years.

Strips Comics. The Girl Is Mine is written partly in English (to teach Dutch children English), Captain Tom And His Mom is written entirely in English.
Illustraties Illustrations. (You guessed that already, didn't you!?) Some commercial drawings (Telekids, Cartoon Network) and some free work (including the naked ladies).

Unfortunately for you, my (old) weblog is in Dutch. But lots of pictures are included. For example, here you'll find the making of a caricature, here you'll find some paintings I made in art class, here you'll find some comics I made when I was seventeen, here you'll find my search for the logo of my debut comic book The Girl Is Mine, here you'll find pictures I secretly took at a comic strip artist's party with a hidden camera. (All those people hate me deeply now!) and here you'll find me painting a self-portrait. (My hairdresser was on holiday that week.)

Kroegtekeningen Pub drawings. Drawings I made in pubs, including sketches on beer coasters. I'm ashamed to say it, but most of them were drawn while I was in, more or less, a state of drunkenness. Nevertheless, most people think of this as my best work...
